New Coil Winding Machine at Geeplus Maintains Highest Quality

Beckenham, UK – In order to both maintain the supply chain and uphold quality control, Geeplus has invested in a new multi-headed coil winding machine.

The new equipment gives Geeplus complete control of the many different types and sizes of coil required for use in their growing range of products, including their world class voice coil motors. Having been at the mercy of irregular supplies and potential quality issues, Geeplus can now engineer coils in their UK manufacturing facility to suit the exact demands of customers’ design and operating requirements.

The new coil winding equipment enables Geeplus to ensure that component delays to their manufacturing processes are kept to an absolute minimum. Capable of winding six coils at a time, each design can be combined with different magnet wire sizes, pin or insulation displacement terminals and other easily specified components.

Although Geeplus will continue to operate their smaller coil winding equipment to address lower quantities and development projects, the new computer-controlled coil winding machine will add significant time savings and versatility as well as enhance already high Geeplus quality controls.
