Geeplus vs Covid-19: Geeplus Continues to Boost Production of Crucial Ventilator Parts
Beckenham, UK / South Carolina, US – As countries throughout the world roll out administration of Covid-19 vaccines, Geeplus’ expanded production personnel have continued to work around the clock to support the world’s top ventilator manufacturers with crucial actuation devices — most notably, our renowned Voice Coil Motors.
The Covid-19 pandemic created an unprecedented demand for a number of Geeplus products—specifically the high-precision voice coil motors and solenoids used in ICU ventilator applications. This led to 24-hour production during the height of the pandemic.
The VM38 voice coil motor, in particular, is an extremely advanced, precise and highly controllable voice coil actuator, that has aided Geeplus in becoming the world’s leading supplier of actuators in medical ventilator applications. Learn more in this brief video.
Geeplus Expands; TRIPLES Production Capacity
Demand is still great for our high-precision actuators. In response, we’ve doubled the size of our UK manufacturing facility in London. Production capacity has now tripled!
Now, with the majority of major components used in our products created and tested in-house, Geeplus is confident that all of our worldwide customers, across a wide range of industries, will benefit from the extended facility!
Origins of COVID-19
At the very end of 2019, WHO was alerted to several cases of pneumonia in Wuhan City, Hubei Province, China. This virus displayed qualities that were unique and did not match any other known virus, raising alarm throughout the medical community.
Chinese authorities confirmed the following week that they had identified the new virus, known as the Coronavirus, a family of viruses that include the common cold, along with viruses such as SARS and MERS. The new virus was temporarily named “2019-nCoV” (now COVID-19)
The latest statistics on the virus show over 155 Million cases across 220 countries and territories worldwide, with over 3,2 Million deaths as a result of the virus. On the other hand, well over 133 Million have recovered from COVID-19.
Of the over 19,500,00 current documented active cases in the world right now, 99.4% of cases are mild, and not life-threatening (https://www.worldometers.info/coronavirus/#countries).
How To Combat the Spread of COVID-19
