Geeplus Expands UK Manufacturing Facility;
Doubles Size, Triples Production Capacity

Beckenham, United Kingdom –In order to maintain global supplies of their highly sought after electro-mechanical products used in the manufacture of medical equipment, Geeplus has doubled the size of their UK manufacturing facility in London.

The Covid-19 pandemic created an unprecedented demand for a number of Geeplus products—specifically the high-precision voice coil motors and solenoids used in ICU ventilator applications. This led to 24-hour production during the height of the pandemic, in order to provide over 150,000 highly specialised actuators.

To keep up with the constant demand, the company employed more staff and installed new manufacturing equipment. Space for parts and extended manufacturing lines, however, was becoming a potential problem that threatened to disrupt this essential process.

Fortuitously for Geeplus, the carpet retailer in the building next door moved out, leaving a large empty warehouse and additional office space. Geeplus obtained the lease on the property and immediately began building a new product assembly and testing facility.

While Geeplus production specialists are still working extended hours, company contractors have already created a new parts arrival inspection room, established separate arrival and dispatch areas, and installed 12 new workflow benches, a new moulding machine as well as an additional magnetiser.

Warehousing has doubled in size and production capacity has tripled!
