Innovative New Pump from Geeplus uses a Geared Roller for Improved Operation

​By implementing a geared roller pump head design in their new PT-10 Pump, Geeplus has effectively reduced the speed and increased the torque of the roller assembly as it moves liquid through the pump tubing. This greatly reduces wear on the tubing itself.

Because the rollers are ‘driven’, the damage caused to tubing by drag is eliminated. Tests using Pharmed BPT tubing have shown that tubing life of up to 4000 hours at <150rpm is achievable.

The geared roller pump head is scaleable, which enables Geeplus to produce pumps in a variety of sizes. The smallest model—the PT-10—is based on a brushless motor and is designed to operate using tubing with a wall thickness from 1mm to 3mm.

Flow rates range from 3.5 to 90ml/min with a rotational speed of between 60 and 300rpm. Tubing is easily removed and/or clipped into position with a simple 30° twist movement of the cover.
