Geeplus Making Good Vibrations at Medica 2022: Stand 11E10!

Beckenham, UK – Geeplus will be exhibiting at Medica 2022 in Düsseldorf, Germany for the first time this November. Visitors can find the world’s leading supplier of actuators in medical ventilator applications in Hall 11, Stand E10 at Europe’s biggest medical exhibition.

Thousands of Geeplus products – most commonly voice coil actuators and proportional solenoids – can be found in advanced medical equipment throughout the world. Voice coils supply exceptionally precise positioning combined with remarkably smooth movement, along with a very low level of hysteresis (an important factor in controlling motion in many advanced medical applications).

Voice coil motors will be shown along with peristaltic pumps and alternative means of dosing, such as pinch valves.

In addition to their many actuation products that proved so crucial during the pandemic – Geeplus will show a number of new products as well, including an innovative voice coil motor that has essential applications in equipment used for providing a reliable vibrating movement.

A geared roller pump head design in their new PT-10 Pump will also be on display. By effectively reducing the speed and increasing the torque of the roller assembly as it moves liquid through the pump tubing, wear on the tubing itself is greatly reduced.

Because the rollers are ‘driven’, the damage caused to tubing by drag is eliminated. Tests using Pharmed BPT tubing have shown that tubing life of up to 4000 hours at <150rpm is achievable.

Visitors will also see the Geeplus haptic actuator designed to provide the sensitive control of linear vibration in delicate laboratory mixing or separating applications, being actuated by the application of energy to rare earth magnets. Unlike the more commonly used motorised assemblies, it has no sliding parts and is therefore not subject to wear or mechanical faults.

For mobility applications, such as hospital beds and assisted seating, Geeplus will also exhibit their range of lead screw actuators.
